Mark Freedman and Kate Huntington Gallery Show

The Dryden Gallery at the Providence Picture Frame Company hosted an opening for two of the best artists in Rhode Island The Universe last night.

The radiant colors of Kate Huntington played off the dark urban landscapes of Mark Freedman. Kate’s sensual rendering of nature and the human figure tells one story, Mark Freedman’s gift for creating a city with exactly the right brushstrokes tells another. What an amazing experience to see their work side by side. Mary Ann Rossoni and her fine band,The Rossonians, played at the opening.

Details and a slide show of the artist’s work is here at Providence Picture Frame. Directions too. Short version– behind Benny’s.
The show is up till June 15 during store hours, some on the first floor, but walk up to the third to see all the good stuff.

Agreed, Nancy, it was an xlnt show! and an interesting combination. A nice space, too, and the band was just right and not too loud.
