Thinking about wrongdoers today- those shameless lying, cheating types who cry victim whenever they are found out.
In today’s news, it is a crime to sneak into a nursing home so you can photograph a patient and post the results online. Who knew?
A political blogger accused of breaking into a Mississippi nursing home and photographing U.S. Senator Thad Cochran’s bedridden wife now faces felony burglary charges, his lawyer said.
Clayton Kelly was indicted for burglary, attempted burglary, and conspiracy to commit burglary, the lawyer, Kevin Camp, said late on Wednesday.
Kelly was initially jailed in May on charges that he “illegally and improperly obtained an image of a vulnerable adult resident” after making his way into the Madison, Mississippi, facility and taking a photo of Rose Cochran, who suffers from progressive dementia and has lived there since 2000.
On behalf of nursing home residents and staff who had troubles enough without needing to worry about stunts like this- I hope the judge throws the book at him.
Politics is dirty. We’re down in the mud in Providence for the next month.
